    Here is the part about pausing images:
    " Why is my image "Paused"?

    • Images get paused if they are statistically unlikely to move up to the top 10% of all images (approximately 615 ImageScore). Sometimes we determine this within this within 6 duels sometimes it takes 100. The key is that in order to provide good clarity into which images are in the top 10 we must vote the best images a lot. With a limited amount of duels available to us the best way to accomplish this is by pausing images once we've determined that they are not likely to get near the top. We use statistics so by definition we are not 100% confident that the image should be paused and so to address this issue we added the "get more votes" feature (the "play" button on the leaderboards). Under certain circumstances Paused images may still be placed in to duels and may be unpaused automatically."

    My photo was paused after a few hours.  I got it un-paused but it hasnt moved at all.  Same score as when it was paused with no duels.  Why is that?

    Robin, after you un-paused that image on Jan 8th it gained 3 more duels, 1 yesterday and 2 today. I hope this helps. It got paused again, and you un-paused it again today.

    got paused days before the week was even ended, even tho it was doing well. There was still 41 more duels out of the 100 I paid for. The score of 32 wins and 27 losses shows it would have gone higher if it had not been paused. Why weren't my paid for duels applied. Are you going to refund the points for those unused duels?

    Hi Janna, your image will not get pasued until all paid duels are cast. As of today, there are 27 more duels left, so you image did get more duels. And it will continue getting more duels without being paused until remaining duels are spent. I hope this helps.

    Most the duels happen after the weekly contest ends. Stalling the voting until after prevents it from ever winning or getting very high up in the leader board.

    Exactly!  Janna has a point.  I don't buy duels, I just vote for them, so I have to get on the website a LOT to make any progress.  I only upload photos I am particularly proud of and I think can generate a lot of votes and if they are being paused because Pixoto doesnt think they are moving fast enough is an insult to those of us trying to get our photos noticed.  I depend on them to be seen without me sitting here at my computer all day waiting for votes to come in only to find out later nobody is seeing them at all
