Hi Johan, I have asked and there has been more duels recorded in last week - top images form 2 days ago have 30 duels, while top images from last week have 30-40 duels with tendency to get more duels. We anticipate that in 2 to 3 weeks top images in category with decent number of images will have about 50 duels when weekly awards are assigned for that week.
Regarding your image, please check how Pixoto works here: https://www.pixoto.com/about
“After the first 50 duels or so the change in ImageScore with each additional duel slows down. Essentially the first 50 or so duels define the approximate area of the leaderboard an image should be and the remaining duels refine that placement."

Have you asked them yet? I have an image submitted on april 24 last year that has reached 72 duels. Thats only one of a lot of examples of slow duelling.

Maybe people are tired of voting because of all those flowers. I voted earlier today and at least half of the duels were flowers. Boring! Among the other half were a lot of trains and that doesn’t help either…

We have made some improvements in dueling.  You should start noticing results.

Perhaps we could introduce a daily submission limit per category or temporary pausing of certain categories during a duel session to keep it interesting?

Yes, that was a great improvement! Thanks for a good work!

Hi Johan, not all users vote all the time, not all users publish images. Some users vote but not publish images, some users publish images but don't vote, some users do vote and do publish images, some users come to see images on leaderboards, some come to purchase items or buy stock images - they are all users. Can you please let me know where does it say Pixoto has 80.000 contributors that vote all the time?
    Regards, Jasenka

Okay, maybe I remember wrong.  But how many contributors are we?

    According to Pixoto:

Pixoto is the worlds largest free photo contest site with hundreds of active free photo contests every day.
