Hi Johan, reporting of images works just fine. We received your reports (ones for very similar images that were for images that are 6 or less months old).
Please note that images that have been on site for more then 6 months can not be reported as very similar images.
Also please note that image are very similar if the subject and pose/scene is the same. If either change, subject and/or  pose/scene images are not considered to be very similar images.

I checked lion heads (guessing you are talking about Black and white category) and all have different poses.
As I previously explained, we rely on users to report images that violate any of our rules, like it is stated in the Terms of Use: “Although Pixoto has no obligation to screen, edit or monitor any of the User Content posted on the Site, Pixoto reserves the right, and has absolute discretion, to remove, screen or edit any User Content hosted on the Site at any time and for any reason without notice.”

    Regards, Jasenka

So you think it's okay that a lot of very similar images take top positions on the leaderboards? In that case five very similar images can be top five of the leaderboard of the year, with your approval. I don't think that is good for the community.

Apparently very similar images are ok - the ones that are not ok are identical images, even if they have a total different crop. Have I got that right?

Hi Johan, as per our rule: “NO VERY SIMILAR IMAGES: You may submit an unlimited number of images but each one must be significantly different from the others. This means only one image of any subject and scene/pose combination is allowed. The only exceptions are that you may have a duplicate of a color photo in the black and white category and you may use other images you have submitted to create unique works of digital art. You may delete an image and resubmit it at any time. If reported, and we agree that the images are not distinct enough, one of the images will be deleted….”

Do images you mention fall under these rules? Do they have same subject and scene/pose combination? Or scene/pose changes if the subject is the same?

Maybe you have different view of very similar images, but above stated is definition of very similar images on Pixoto.

Identical images are duplicate images (meaning two exactly identical images) and those can be reported with button Duplicate under Report (they are also not allowed).
    I hope this helps.

The images I mention are absolutely not ”significantly different”. They are VERY similar.
