No. 2 Day Award (of 20th) Should Be No. 1 in Artistic Objects
Today (22nd Sept., 2023) I received a No. 2 Day (of 20th) award that as far as I can see should have been a No. 1 in Artistic Objects two days ago. My sulky photo is seen as the leader by over 70 points both on the 20th and the 21st – 544 to 458. What caused it to be bumped to No. 2 in awards today??? Barbara Anne Helberg

Hi Barbara, I see image with score of 588 to be on #1 place (and got #1 place awards also).
Your image was on #2 place when awards were assigned (today) with score of 544.
It is possible that user who won #1 place award has banned you, so you can't see that users images (so you can't see image that won #1 place). But as I said before, I have checked and your image was #2 for that day (as you can see from screenshot below).

Thank you for this information, Jasenka. It possibly explains, but it certainly doesn't ‘help!’ It raises the question of ‘why’ would someone ‘ban’ me and the question of how in the world is banning a fair policy? That disallowed me from following the ‘true’ progress of my own image. The #1 image in your screen shot didn't appear on the leaderboard I saw at any part of the day, so apparently I was, indeed, blocked. But ‘why?’ Do I have to block everyone from seeing my images, and how silly is that? This is not good stuff. I'm at a loss over this and in the future must take someone else's word for it that one of images didn't place where I had anticipated. Why have an open leaderboard if someone can choose to ban you from seeing its true values? This caught me completely unawares, and my continued participation here is now compromised. However, I've been around for 77 years and know futility when it slaps me. All good things must come to an end, says she.

In addition, Jasenka, it is a serious thing to know that the leaderboard that I was apparently allowed to see was completely falsified. It had #1 imprinted on my image, #2 imprinted on the image next to mine - clown statue - and so on down to the end of the submissions. If someone else had the leading image, what was imprinted on it - # ? - while I couldn't see it? Why wouldn't #2 be imprinted on my image, with the supposed #1 unavailable for viewing? I was lied to all day. Falsifying the leaderboard just isn't fair policy.

Hi Barbara, there are numerous reasons why user would ban another user. Thank you for information about wrong numbering - you are correct that it shouldn't be like that, I will forward it to our tech to check and correct it.

Thank you for that correction, at least, Jasenka. That will present a fair understanding of the position of competing photos. As far as banning each other is concerned, I believe it's dumb and disrespectful. Why do it? What reasons? It injures the competitive spirit.
