Again a question regarding the awards, BUT at this moment of the year, I would like to have some news concerning the annual awards of 2022..... and the associated badges... Thanks for your answer. Regards.

Hi Gerard, 2022 yearly awards should start to be assigned soon. Following badges will be assigned after all yearly awards for all categories are assigned.

Hi Gerard, 2022 yearly awards have started to be assigned. Please not that we are assigning them from catgeory with lowest number of images towards the catgeory with highest number of images.

Since your last answer, a month ago, I only received "city, street..." and "Buildings and..." .

Help me understand why every year it takes so long to get badges for the prior year. I would think that by now you would have this down to a science, yet every year it takes longer. September and still no badge for 2022 - embarrassing!

Just plugged in to here to see where the 2022 awards are---and apparently it's still a question!
Hmmm… My fear is that without some incentive, more people will quit participating..

Hi all, there is update on the way, and a soon as update will pe published the remaining of anual awards for last year will be announced.

Unfortunately we have had a multi-month delay on getting these all out due to a delayed release that was a lot more significant than expected. Annual awards will be finished within the next 2 weeks.
Next years awards will be automated.

I still cannot understand why, arrived at the end of October, the totalities of the annual awards are not distributed and for which the badges are not either.
I get the impression, but maybe I’m wrong, so I get the impression that there is something like a vast sham.
Who are we kidding?
Calculate the awards, category by category, then assign the badges, it should be closed since the end of March.

Hi Gerard, unfortunatelly the big update we hoped to be released hasn't been released yet. After the update is released remaining of yearly awards will be assigned.

So--when is this update to be done?? As you know already--we are wondering about the yearly awards. Another unfortunate result of that--keeping the interest in Pixoto and the entered pictures plus activity in voting would be better if those things happened. Here we are--almost end of 2023, and no 2022 awards yet??

Hi Karen, unfortunatelly we have done everything needed for the update, but we need to wait for another organization to release final versions of a dependency that is integrated in this major update. I'm sorry but we just don't know when it will be.

Nothing says “We don't give a damn” more than not tallying results for 2022 until 2024.

Hi Dennis, I'm sorry you feel this way. We are all working really hard to get this update done. We did release with major site wide platform updates yesterday and our tech is probably waiting to see if everything works correctly on live database before releasing remaining of yearly awards. Which should be soon.

We do care. Unfortunately this update pushed us back several months. We were dependent on a third party which held back the transition.
The results have already been tallied for some time, just not published. We will get them out this next week. I can assure next year will be different as annual awards will now be automated on a schedule going forward.

Can someone give me ANY reason to keep on paying a pro membership on this community? I don't think the management have the skills at all to run it.

As I said before, the end of this operation "2022-awards" comes for Christmas and we will have the badges at the foot of the tree, as a gift.
I still do not understand, with my 43 years of computer system expectation, that this takes so long. Logically, from the end of January, all the ratings of the previous year should be available, and it takes no more than 2 months to attribute the awards and badges on that date. By the end of March, everything should be closed.
And today, if all the awards were given, why don’t we have the badges...?0 -
Hello Gerard,
The annual awards are a large process that previously ran on an older system. As stated, we had a significant update that was preventing the release which allowed awards to continue. As part of this update, future annual awards will be automated preventing this from happening again in the future.
All the badges were assigned. Please reference any badges you think are missing either in a ticket or messaging me directly.
