Is anyone else floored by the quality of some images submitted for image duel contests? Sometimes I have to search for something that might be in focus in the image, horizon lines not level or the subject obviously zoomed way in beyond what the resolution can support. I understand part of the process of the duel is to pick the better image and perhaps a learning process for the photographer, but come-on now. Not being able to see the image is just poorly composed, out of focus, exposed image that probably shouldn't see Pixoto is just unsettling. Or is it done on purpose to submit some sub-par images along with their award winners to pump up the chances of their "good" images an easy win?
